Michael holds Commerce and Law degrees from the University of Auckland and is a Chartered Fellow and former President of the Institute of Directors.

He is currently Chairman of Tower Limited and 2 Cheap Cars Group Limited and holds directorships at Tegel Group Holdings Limited, LPF Group Limited, Morgan Holdco Limited, and New Talisman Gold Mines Limited.

A strong advocate for governance, sustainability, and diversity, Michael is committed to mentoring the next generation of directors and shaping the future of New Zealand's corporate leadership.

With over 30 years of experience, Chris is an accomplished corporate and technology lawyer known for her extensive work with government and industry.

She has held senior roles, including partnerships at Duncan Cotterill and MinterEllisonRudd Watts in New Zealand, and practiced at Linklaters in London.

Chris is currently the Honorary Consul for Finland in Auckland, President of the New Zealand Scandinavia Business Association, and a member of the NZ Institute of Directors.

With 45 years of experience in the insurance industry across Australia and New Zealand, Thomas has a wealth of knowledge in Reinsurance, Group, Retail, and Direct insurance.

Recently retired from Hannover Re, where he started in 1972, Thomas served as General Manager of Business Development. In this role, he led the growth of Hannover Re’s life insurance portfolio, secured the company’s largest direct distribution client, and managed key underwriting, claims, and actuarial pricing teams.

Lloyd Cartwright is the CEO of Momentum Life. He is a senior financial services leader with extensive local and international experience in building businesses, driving superior client outcomes, delivering growth, and developing high-performing teams. He sets a powerful future vision, empowers people, innovates, and creates a holistic environment of success. During his extensive career in banking and finance, he has held executive roles with Westpac, National Australia Bank, Bankers Trust and China Construction Bank, spanning New Zealand, Singapore, Sydney, London and New York. Lloyd has been a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee since 2017 and is currently a Member of the Board of Trustees on the Wood Hill Sand Equestrian Trust. Lloyd lives on an Equine property in Auckland with Emma and Gatley and far too many animals to name.

Crespo is the Chief Risk Officer. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in risk management, regulatory compliance and governance assurance, after holding senior positions with financial institutions including JBWere, Mercer, Kiwi Wealth and Medical Assurance Society. Crespo holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor.

Emma is the Customer Care Manager, boasting 31 years of experience in the life insurance industry across New Zealand, Australia, and the UK. She has been with Momentum Life since its launch, successfully establishing the service and claims functions. With a focus on providing a market-leading customer experience and a seamless claims experience to New Zealanders in their time of need, Emma has built an industry leading team, delivering award-winning customer service.
