Am I covered under my Funeral Insurance policy if I contract Covid-19 and pass away?

Answer:

You will still be covered for death under your Funeral Insurance policy and any claim will be assessed on its own merits.

If you’ve held your policy for more than 24 months, you are covered if you pass away due to Covid-19 or any other cause.

If you’ve held your policy for less than 24 months, the 24 month stand-down period applies for death as a result of illness, suicide or natural causes. If you pass away in the first 24 months due to Covid-19 or any other cause other than an accident, we’ll return all premiums paid to your nominated beneficiaries or estate.
